These beetroot are just wonderful, small round red roots with alternate white and red stripes on the inside. These are an Heirloom variety dating to the 16th century of the Venice region of Italy. They are at home being used in cakes (not tried this yet..) as they are in salads, or simply roasted with other root vegetables.
Easy to grow, sow thinly into the ground then thin as required when the first shoots appear.
