This is a rustic carrot variety and is suitable to be grown in containers as well as direct into the soil. It is a very early carrot, fast-growing and preserves well; it can be sown all year round, and especially in spring and end of summer. Pick when they are small and tender, wash and steam or roast with other root vegetables.
Easy to grow, sow thinly into the ground then thin as required when the first shoots appear.
Not as prone to carrot fly as traditional varieties.
