Rocket was first introduced into Britain by the Romans, known as Arugula in Italy. The cultivated rocket is slightly milder than wild rocket and had meatier leaves.
It has a wonderful peppery flavour and it great addition to add extra flavour to mixed green salad bowls.
Try adding to pizzas for an extra flavour as a topping or garnish.
It is a great salad accompaniment to add to your selection, as it can be sown up to the end of September.
Sow thinly directly into warm soil.
Thin out as necessary.
