These are mange tout or sugar snap pea plants where the complete pod can be eaten. This is a late variety which produces plants which are around 150cm tall. The plants are vigorous. The mange tout pods are about 7-9cm long and are flat, tender and meaty.
Thee are ideal for stir fries, steaming to serve as a vegetable, or our favourite is simply adding them to salads.
The flowers are a pretty lilac colour, so good as a back of border edible or perfect for adding height in potagers or vegetable gardens.
