This climbing Borlotti Bean Lamon is from Belluno in the Veneto region of Italy. It is a variegated bean, with pinkish red splodges on white.
We always think it looks like snakes eggs !! Great for kids and budding gardeners to grow. With fantastic pink beans the plant also makes for a dramatic statement in the veggie plot or even an edible back of border plant.
This bean is perfect for making the famous Venetian 'Pasta e Fagioli', very easy to grow and can be dried as well as used freshly shelled.
