The Custard white courgettes have an uncanny resemblance to UFO's, they are great fun for children to grow. They are also known as patty pans.
The white courgette has a very firm skin and holds its shape so can be sliced and pan fried in garlic with olive oil. They are very tasty and can be used in stir fries or with roast vegetables.
It is an attractive plant in the garden, as with all courgettes you don't need too many plants. As with all courgettes if you don't pick them when they are small they will keep growing ....
The fruit will store quite easily for some weeks.
If you do have a glut they are fun shapes for children to draw on and decorate.
