One of our favourite courgettes, despite this being a very ugly courgette with rough gnarled skin, this variety has one of the best flavours in the summer squash family.
This courgette is virtually the only variety you will find in the local shops and markets in the Veneto region of Italy, for taste and flavour it is a real must grow variety.
Something a bit different for the keen vegetable grower. And ...it is the perfect entrant for any village fete home-grown vegetable competition where it is sure to be a strong contender in the 'ooh er missus' competition.

Sow indoors from February to May in pots and containers.
Then put outdoors in vegetable bed or large container in late May /June when the soil and temperature have warmed up.

The situation regarding Northern Ireland may improve in September 2024 following the implementation of the Windsor Protocol. Don't blame us we didn't vote for it!
