Swiss chard is super easy to grow and a great vegetable to have in the allotment or veggie plot. This variety has deep green leaves and large white ribbed stems. You can cook the leaves like spinch by simply stewing and then tossing in butter.
Cook the leaves like spinach, then steam the stalks and toss in butter or add to 'Frittata' which is an Italian omelette style. Swiss chard stalks are often described as having a similar flavour to asparagus.
Highly recommended and doesn't bolt the same as spinach does.

Sow from March - July and harvest till mid October.
Approximate seeds quantity: 500 seeds.
Instructions are included on the back of the packets.
For the UK follow the blue for growing instructions: The sowing months are in Roman numerals are shown down the left side diagram and the approximate harvesting time shown on the right side of the diagram.
At the top of each packet there are diagrams showing whether a seed tray is needed or whether the seeds can be sown directly into soil, whether the plants need to be thinned and finally the harvesting months.

PLEASE NOTE - Due to Brexit related restrictions on certain items, unfortunately, we cannot at present send our seeds or kits containing seeds outside of mainland UK, (including Northern Ireland) without incurring huge additional costs. Whilst items can be added to the basket, if there is a location we cannot send to you will be advised at the basket stage when your delivery location is identified. The situation regarding Northern Ireland may improve in September 2024 following the implementation of the Windsor Protocol. Don't blame us we didn't vote for it!
