Known by various terms whether Lambs Lettuce or Mache this is best-quality and most famous variety, which comes from north-west France. The soft leaves almost melt in the mouth and are a great addition to any winter salad bowl.
Stagger the sowing but it is is not a cut and come again, simply pull the leaves up and shake and snip off the roots. Wash them dress with a light vinaigrette dressing and et voila!
Sow 1cm deep with lots of sowing to encourage ensure a good supply through the Autumn and Winter.

Harvest late Autumn up to December.

The situation regarding Northern Ireland may improve in September 2024 following the implementation of the Windsor Protocol. Don't blame us we didn't vote for it!
