This winter salad leaf also known as chicory, is easy to grow with a good round, crunchy closed head and attractive mottled red and light green markings. Its looks fabulous in a mixed salad of leaves.
The radicchio and chicory are great in mixed salads, or blanch and pan fry if you don't like the bitter flavour.
The chicory originated from the town of Castelfranco Veneto, in the province of Treviso.

PLEASE NOTE - Due to Brexit related restrictions on certain items, unfortunately, we cannot at present send our seeds or kits containing seeds outside of mainland UK, (including Northern Ireland) without incurring huge additional costs. Whilst items can be added to the basket, if there is a location we cannot send to you will be advised at the basket stage when your delivery location is identified. The situation regarding Northern Ireland may improve in September 2024 following the implementation of the Windsor Protocol. Don't blame us we didn't vote for it!
