This purple variety of kohlrabi is a very popular variety and ideal for growing in the Spring and Summer.
This is variety is exactly the same as the standard white kohlrabi but with a very attractive purple flesh.
The vegetable can be used in various ways from sautéed in pan with olive oil or roasted in the oven with other root vegetables. It can also be used instead of cabbage in a slaw with carrots and radishes.
