This is a regional red onion variety from Florence in Tuscany. It has a nice, sweet flavour so good to use raw in salads.
The onion is also good for storing in a cool dark pantry or food store.
Sow the seeds thinly and then thin out any seeds in the Spring. They are best grown in moisture retentive soil and in full sun. When te leaves yellow and droop this is a sign they are ready for harvest.

PLEASE NOTE - Due to Brexit related restrictions on certain items, unfortunately, we cannot at present send our seeds or kits containing seeds outside of mainland UK, (including Northern Ireland) without incurring huge additional costs. Whilst items can be added to the basket, if there is a location we cannot send to you will be advised at the basket stage when your delivery location is identified. The situation regarding Northern Ireland may improve in September 2024 following the implementation of the Windsor Protocol. Don't blame us we didn't vote for it!
